Experiences in the plural!
A paradise for hikers and trekkers, but also for trail runners and many other outdoor activities, the Val d'Hérens lends itself to 2 to 6 days itineraries for walkers and runners alike, with numerous circuits to consider between late June and October.
The Val d'Herens also boasts a rich natural heritage: waterfalls, lakes, valleys, etc., as well as built heritage: footbridges, bisses (irrigation channels) and dams. Your wanderings will certainly take you past the Grande Dixence: the highest gravity dam ever built by man. A concrete colossus with figures to make you dizzy! 285m high, 700m long at an altitude of 2400m! But the flora and fauna are not to be outdone. Trails accessible to all the family make it easy to spot chamois and ibex.
Thrill-seekers can also enjoy via ferrata, rock-climbing and zip-lining!
In winter, snowshoeing, ski touring, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing are all available. The hardest part will be choosing!
